CASE STUDY:
Grant Associates
Best Show Garden - RHS Chelsea
Championing Best Show Garden for debut designers
Grant Associates is an international landscape architecture practice whose work reconnects people with nature whilst addressing the challenges of urbanisation, climate change and biodiversity loss. In 2021, they entered RHS Chelsea for the first time with a Chinese-inspired show garden.
Our Role
- Pre-promote Grant Associates first design for RHS Chelsea
- Focus on the ethos behind the Guanghzou Garden: cities of the future should be considered landscape cities
- Manage on-site media and interviews with the design team
- Publicise Grant’s gold medal and win of ‘Best Show Garden’
Our Approach
A pre-event video explored the designers’ inspiration for the garden: Guangzhou - a Chinese city divided into three environmentally green zones – its ‘Heart’, ‘Lungs’ and ‘Kidneys’.
Working alongside the RHS Chelsea Press team, our media relations spanned TV, radio, nationals, architecture, gardening, sustainability, business and lifestyle sectors.
Our Results
- 130 total media mentions, estimated coverage reach 9.43m
- Media included BBC1, BBC2, The Daily Telegraph, The Evening Standard, The Sunday Times, Mail Online, The Guardian Online, Horticulture Week, FT China, China Daily UK and The Bath Magazine
- Traffic to Grant Associates website increased by 155% during the week of the show
