Wanted:  PR & Social Media Assistant, 6 month fixed contract, £24k pa pro rata

Do you think you’ve got what it takes to thrive in a small, busy agency, providing essential PR, social media and influencer support across a range of family and food clients? 

We’re looking for a brilliant all-rounder to provide admin support across all areas of our agency on a day to day basis, starting as soon as possible. 

You’ll need to be super organised, able to work quickly and accurately, keen to get stuck into all kinds of jobs, and be smart enough to juggle multiple tasks and frequently changing priorities. 

This is an initial 6 month full time contract, but with every possibility it could turn into a permanent position in the future if you can prove your value.  The role will be office based in central Bristol 4 days a week, with 1 day working from home. 

Typical tasks: 

This will be a varied and flexible role, but amongst the typical tasks will be: 

  • Managing online cuttings books for all clients 
  • Recording/evaluating press coverage 
  • Monitoring and helping schedule social media content 
  • Researching and writing blog posts 
  • Researching suitable influencers for campaigns, gifting and collaborations 
  • Helping build and maintain media lists and brand calendars 
  • Uploading of PR content and images onto websites 
  • Resizing of digital images for press/websites 
  • Managing postage and deliveries 
  • Packaging and distributing product samples and competition prizes 
  • Filing of magazines/newspapers 
  • Managing office supplies/stationery/subscriptions 
  • Helping research and prepare evaluation reports 
  • Organising meetings/travel arrangements 
  • Managing product samples stock, allocating prizes 
  • Assisting on photoshoots 
  • Other administrative duties as required by account teams 

 Qualities we’re looking for: 

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately 
  • Superb organisation skills 
  • Enthusiasm for all kinds of tasks  
  • Confidence and initiative  
  • Active interest in and use of social media platforms (esp Instagram, Facebook and TikTok) 
  • Excellent all round PC skills 
  • Attention to detail and an eye for layout and good presentation 
  • Some previous office experience, preferably in a PR agency or media outlet 
  • Ability to work independently with good self-management skills   
  • A genuine desire to work in PR/social media and digital marketing
