Christmas arrived at the Business Design Centre in Islington this week with two live reindeer bringing the festive wows to the Big Christmas Press Show.
700+ media also walked through the doors. They were greeted with 50+ exhibitors displaying a huge range of colourful Christmas gifts: from toys to skincare.
The point of the show is to allow media to get their hands on the products… see, smell and trial them.
It’s a smart solution for time-poor journalists – everything under one roof on one day, with PRs on hand to pitch each product’s USPs.
And this year didn’t disappoint; top tier media included BBC Breakfast, ITV Regions, ITV This Morning, Good Housekeeping, The Telegraph, The Independent, Grazia, Stylist, The Daily Mail, Prima, Evening Standard, The Sun, HELLO!, Sheerluxe, ITV Lorraine, Metro, The Guardian, The Observer plus many more.
For influencers, it’s also a great day out: food, drink, selfies, massages, freebies.
Highlight’s team was super busy, presenting our client Moose Toys’ exciting new Autumn/Winter toys: including ranges featuring Bluey and top Youtuber MrBeast!
Moose’s toys are all about the wow factor and extended play.
So for the new hero toy in the Cookeez Makery range: the Freezez Cakez, we surprised visitors by revealing a shivering plush that miraculously appeared inside the mini fridge.
For the new Magic Mixies Pixlings Supreme Magical Mirror, we showcased the fortune telling mode to anyone curious enough to ask it a question!
We also set up an interview with Moose’s Senior Brand Manager Josie Davis and ITV West Country for a news article on how shopping habits have changed this year, with some people shopping earlier and using Most Wished For Lists on Amazon.
Finally, our team member Kate caused smiles and hilarity walking Waddles the Penguin (new within Moose’s top-selling Little Live Pets range) in front of the entrance – catching everyone’s attention on arrival. By the end of the day, Kate and Waddles were walking in synch!
