Instagramable-themed afternoon teas are all over the menus of London’s top eateries this Spring.
Hopping on the trend, last week we organised the press launch of the UK’s first Miffy Afternoon Tea in partnership with Maggie & Rose, the original family members’ club.
Located at Maggie & Rose’s clubhouse in Islington, the promotion launches this Sunday in time for Mother’s Day and runs through to Easter.
It’s the perfect spring-time experience for different generations of Miffy fans to enjoy together.
And are they in for a treat?!
Firstly, we’ve given the Maggie & Rose stylish clubhouse café a Miffy make-over – with Dick Bruna’s colourful artworks on the walls providing Insta-worthy backdrops and a giant 6-foot tall Miffy lamp creating a great prop for cool selfies.
Next, the bunny-themed menu is bound to delight. Savoury sandwiches, a plant pot full of humous with fresh veggie tops for dipping and Miffy carrot cake can all be washed down with either tea or a healthy carrot and orange juice shot.
Finally, young guests at the café can enjoy Miffy-themed craft activities and dressing up in Miffy costumes whilst enjoying their afternoon tea experience.
Unsurprisingly, our press launch was busy, as journalists from the likes of Time Out London and Net-A-Porter, plus parenting influencers with their kids in tow, flocked to Upper Street to tuck into the Miffy tea-time treats.
For Maggie & Rose family members, the run-up to Easter will be even more exciting, with Miffy-themed art classes scheduled, plus a visit from Miffy herself on Good Friday to each of the three London clubhouses (Islington, Chiswick and Kensington).
